I'm Blocked

Just want to share my story as a member of Cimbuak, a Minangkabau community portal. I recently posted two articles about hadith and messenger that I took from this book and apparently some people don’t like it and feel threaten by it only because they disagree with the contains of the articles. They protested and asked the website admin to unpublish my articles and probably will not publish any article posted by me. I find it very sad and hurtful that it has come to this. I felt very happy finding friends from all over the world from my hometown area and although not all behaved in a polite way, I found many to discuss with and chat with.

In the last two years I have been studying the Quran and my faith Islam more deeply, and have truly followed Allah’s commandment “READ”. I have read from various points of view and I admit I have largely come to question the body of Hadiths. There are just so many “strong/approved” ones that are either in conflict with the Quran or in conflict with science. Imam Bukhari also only approved about 7.397 out of the 600.000 that he knew. And among the 7.397 he approved about half are duplicates. I have tried to raise awareness about it and invited to research and discussion, but mostly I have been met with abuse and/or ridicule. Remember we are Muslims, we submit to Allah, our faith is Islam. Whoever calls themselves Sunnimuslim (Maliki-muslim, Shafi'i-muslim, Hanafi-muslim, or Hanbali-muslim), Shiamuslim, and countless others belong to a sect. Most Muslims are not even aware of this, but most Muslims are largely ignorant about their faith anyway sadly enough.

Then it comes to Shariah or law, most of this is taken from the Old Testament in the Bible, if you don’t believe it, feel free to check it out yourself.

There are so many things we could have discussed and looked into; it is our most sacred duty as Muslims to verify everything for our self.

For those who protested you have two choices; you can choose to buy the book and read it and think, or dismiss it without a second thought and stick to what you've been forcefed as Islam through the so called clerics/leaders that rule the roost, and have done so for the longest time. I wish you all a safe journey through life and may Allah open our minds and hearts to His truth. May our understanding and practice be as He intended for us all. As Allah has told us in the Holy Quran; this book is fully detailed for those with intellect. So let us pray for His guidance.

I have tried to write some points that are worth considering in the Quran:

  • Allah tells us that ALL we need to know is in the Quran, it is fully detailed.
  • The Quran is the best Hadith.
  • Allah warns us against tradition and the majority.
  • Allah also warns us against the Arabs and their tendencies.
  • Allah uses the same word in many verses so we may have a fuller understanding of it. The Arabs translate the same word one way in one verse and another way in another verse to suit their twisted logic.
  • Allah tells us to take care of each other, the environment and be productive.
  • Allah tells us to reflect, ponder and seek knowledge as well as develop science.

So I have tried in my own limited way to follow what Allah has told us all.

May Allah bless us in this world and hereafter.
